How To: Use the Online Gallery

January 3rd, 2006

As a registered artist of GateCityArt’s Online Gallery you will have full control over your own personal section of the gallery. This section is called your album. When you register with us at GateCityArt your personal album will be automatically created, this is where you will be able to upload your artwork to share on our online gallery. You will have full upload, edit, and deletion privileges of your personal album. Once you have uploaded your work to your album you will need to create a link for the work in the appropriate gallery section (i.e. Drawing, Painting, Film, Music, Sculpture, etc.).

How to upload your work:

  1. You must be a registered member of the gallery. If you are not a registered member, please click here to register.
  2. You must log in using the username you created during registration. To log in please follow the link at the top right corner of the gallery.
  3. Once you have logged in you should be automatically taken to you personal album of the gallery. If you are not there is a link to your album in the top right corner.
  4. Once you are at your album there will be a link that says “add photo” click the link and that will take you to the upload page.
  5. Now you will attach the work using the “browse” button and add any captions or comments you wish. (The maximum file size that can be uploaded is 10MB, anything over that must be sent to us via email, snail mail, or by tracking us down or contacting us and setting up a meeting to exchange the work). Please do not upload extremely high resolution images; the largest an image should be is 1024 x 768. Anything larger than that will not fit on a normal monitor screen and it will be hard for a viewer to see the entire image.
